Tthe following journalistic organizations SICOM, Comm—n, Acci— Premsa, Associaci— de Dones Periodistes de Catalunya, Grup de Periodisme Solidari del Col.legi de Periodistes de Catalunya, under the auspices of the Regidoria de Cooperaci— Internacional de l'Ajuntament de Barcelona and the collaboration of the Col.legi de Periodistes, the Olof Palme Foundation and the Universal Forum of Cultures have organized a conference on World Press Freedom to be held on May 3rd, 4th and 5th in Barcelona, Spain.

The objective is to be able to meet with journalists who live in countries where conflicts are taking place, as well as professionals who, in the worst of cases, have been obliged to go into exile in order to continue exercising their right to free speech.
