Graham Warsop, a judge and creator of some of the world’s best advertising, has joined the World Newspaper Advertising Conference & Expo as a keynote presenter on the value of advertising creativity. The conference, which comes at a time of critical challenges for newspaper advertising, will be held in Zürich, Switzerland, on 22 and 23 February next.

Mr Warsop, the founder of The Jupiter Drawing Room & The Dukes of Urbino.com (www.jupiter.co.za/), is the only South African creative director to have judged the big four international advertising awards -- Cannes, The One Show, D&AD and Clios. He’s excelled on the other side of the table as well -- his awards over the past decade include 13 Cannes Lions, nine One Show Pencils and 13 Clio Statues.

His topic at the World Newspaper Advertising Conference is advertising creativity and how it can be used to improve response, encourage repeat business and gain more revenue. The session will also feature practical information on how to put a creative proposal together and sell it to the top ad agencies in any market.

The conference, organised by the World Association of Newspapers and hosted by Swiss Press, will focus on the latest ideas and strategies that newspapers can use to improve their revenue share and hit ever more challenging targets, at a time when competition for advertising share is rapidly increasing. Full details can be found at www.wan-press.org/zurich2007.
