The invitation was issued at the Annual General Meeting of WAN, being held at this year’s World Newspaper Congress, World Editors Forum and Info Services Expo 2008 in Göteborg, Sweden. More than 1,800 newspaper publishers, chief editors and other senior newspaper executives attended the Göteborg meetings.
India has than 2000 daily newspapers in 100 languages with a combined circulation of 90 million.
Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh and India’s fifth largest city, is a cosmopolitan city now vying to become India’s Silicon Valley. It has a blend of rich cultures and a renowned cuisine. It is a centre for the pearl trade.
