Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts presented the 2003 Autumn Film Week under the short title ‘filmoctober’. In the framework of the filmoctober, movie lovers have had the opportunity to see the latest films by world-famous directors such as Lars von Trier, Ken Loach, Oliver Stone, Michael Haneke, Zhang Yimou, Patrice Leconte, John Sayles, as well as awarded movies of younger directors such as Fernando Leon de Aranoa, Nir Bergman, Dagur Kari, Diego Arsuaga and Hans-Christian Schmid.
