Info Services Expo 2004, the exhibition that accompanies the Congress and Forum, is the "shop window" where suppliers to the industry display their wares to 1,000 publishers, CEOs, managing directors, senior editors and other managers who will attend the events, to be held from 30 May to 2 June.
"Both the Congress and the World Editors’ Forum attract key publishers and editors from around the globe who are motivated to learn from each other and share experiences about their respective fields and markets," said Philippe Hertzberg, European Director for The New York Times News Service/Syndicate. "Our presence at WAN enables us to spend quality time with many partners and prospects, to listen and understand their editorial projects and to offer the most creative solutions."
Among the products and services to be exhibited at Info Services Expo are:
The latest developments from the Shaping the Future of the Newspaper project, which analyses and promotes all major operational and strategic developments and opportunities for the press industry. The principal objective is to deliver essential planning and information tools to newspaper publishers, editors and managers world-wide.
SFN is conducted by WAN, in cooperation with its strategic business partners: MAN Roland, a leading world company for newspaper production systems, PubliGroupe, the Swiss-based international advertising promotion group; Unisys, world-wide leading supplier of mission-critical solutions, services and innovative technology to the publishing industry; UPM, one of the world’s leading printing paper producers; Samsung, a global leader in semiconductor, telecommunication and digital convergence technology; and Telenor Plus, the leading Norwegian telcom, IT and media company.
A mailroom control and information system from Sweden-based IDAB WAMAC which gives publishers the opportunity to create targeted newspaper distribution and strengthens the publishers’ relationship with readers while reducing costs.
The WNCv5 system to be showcased in Istanbul allows publishers to use their circulation data and distribution system to better control the process, from order to reader. It allows reader profiles to be used in the distribution process, creating opportunities for added value products and new revenue.
"Info Services Expo is an excellent event for decision makers and dedicated suppliers of the newspaper publishing industry to meet and exchange visions and experience, said Anna-Karin Jönsson, Marketing Manager, IDAB WAMAC International AB.
US-based NewsCom, a world leader in digital content management sales and distribution, will unveil its newly upgraded web site to better showcase its content offerings -- visuals, news, features and stock photos.
