Company Membership with the World Association of Newspapers
Introduction to WAN
Founded in 1948,
the World Association of Newspapers (WAN) groups 77 national newspaper
associations, newspaper companies and individual newspaper executives
in over 100 nations, 12 news agencies, and 11 regional press
organisations. In all, the association represents more than 18,000
publications on the five continents. As the voice of the global
newspaper industry, it protects the professional and business interests
of newspapers and supports the growth and development of newspaper
publishing world-wide. More about WAN activities can be found here.
One of the main
objectives of WAN is to help newspaper companies produce better and
more profitable newspapers. With this objective in mind, WAN has
designed a package of membership services to help newspaper executives
define strategies for a successful future, providing the best analysis,
research reports and case studies on the most important breakthroughs
and developments in all areas of publishing.
Membership also
offers unique networking opportunities as the most ambitious industry
leaders meet throughout the year to discuss important issues at a
number of WAN conferences.
In short, membership will give your key managers access to ideas, solutions, information and networking.
