Mobile and Internet channels represent a powerful audience and revenue-making future for newspaper companies around the world. Japan and Korea are home to some of the most innovative mobile and Internet companies in the world, developing new and lucrative ways to publish and monetize content. The World Association of Newspapers will host a weeklong tour of ground-breaking media companies in Korea and Japan, in order to inspire new product development and revenue making among study tour participants.

She has belonged to the Digital Media Div. since 2000. She was Assistant Director from 2007 to 2008, and she was Manager of the New Business Development Section from 2006 to 2007.

Yoichi Nishimura, Deputy Managing Editor and Internet Director of The Asahi Shimbun since December 2007.
He was Political Editor from 2005 to 2007 and Bureau Chief of its American General Bureau in Washington, D.C., overseeing North and South America from 2002 to 2005.   He first served in the Washington Bureau from 1998 to 2001 covering issues related to defense, diplomacy and the U.S. presidential election.  Prior to this, Mr. Nishimura spent one year at The Asahi Shimbun's Tokyo Office as a deputy foreign editor and senior diplomatic writer.
