Dear Colleague
Newspapers
world-wide continue to face a multitude of complex and exciting challenges
in terms of strategy, organisation, editorial content, management, advertising
and technology.
We are all working in a business in transition and transformation, one
set to reassert its status as a modern, revitalised and forward-looking
industry, with unrivalled credibility, reach and impact for both readers
and advertisers.
In 2003, at our World Newspaper Congress and World Editors Forum we shall
again focus on this process of change - and what better place to do it
than Ireland, a country which in recent years has itself undergone major
transformation to become one of the world's fastest-growing, dynamic and
ambitious societies?
The
Info Services Expo will be running
parallel to the WAN Congress & Forum. We highly recommend that you
consult our updated floor
plan,
in order to plan your visit to each stand in advance.
The annual summit of the world's press will again be a unique rendezvous
for newspaper executives who need to track the best that is happening
in our industry around the globe, and to debate, learn and network.
Our Irish newspaper colleagues promise to give us an unforgettable welcome
and experience, whether we are discovering or rediscovering their charming
country. We expect more than a thousand newspaper executives from up to
90 countries to respond to their cordial invitation and to travel to Dublin
in June. We encourage you strongly to be among them!
In addition to an outstanding business programme, which will give you
unique insights into the latest trends and strategies in our business,
there will be - as usual - an exceptional social and tour programme and,
for the first time, the World Press Golf Challenge.
This site contains not only all you need to know about the Congress and
Forum programmes and how to register and book your hotels, but also a
wealth of interesting and useful information about Dublin and Ireland
and how to plan your trip there.
We look forward enormously to meeting you at these events next June.
