OUR NINE RULES
1. PUBLICATION DATE Your newspaper should begin to publish the text, art and activities for Frannie Learns a Lesson (hereafter referred to as the "Work") by 30 September.
2. REQUIRED CREDITS Your newspaper shall publish the following credit line in each installment of the Work:

3. LOGOS Your newspaper must use the World Association of Newspapers logo, to be supplied by WAN upon registration for use of the Work. Other sponsor logos are permitted.
4. TEXT AND ART TO PUBLISH Your newspaper must publish each installment of the Work as a whole (including text and art) without editing or revising the Work beyond the needs of local language use. Provided that each installment of the Work is published as a whole, Newspapers may allow readers to submit reader art, which may be published in conjunction with the Work but not in lieu of the work's original art.
5. LANGUAGE Your newspaper may publish the Work in English or Spanish. Your newspaper may also publish the Work in other languages and shall be solely responsible for the cost and expense of translation in languages other than English or Spanish. Your newspaper shall provide WAN with a copy of the translation. Your newspaper grants WAN a non-exclusive, fully paid up license to use, publish and distribute the translation of the Work.
6. MATERIALS By 15 July, and upon registration by your newspaper, the Work shall be accessible via download or by USB in digital format in Spanish or English.
7. PROMOTION Your newspaper may use the Authors and/or Illustrators' names, biographies and likenesses in connection with the publication and promotion of the Work.
8. LIMITS OF USE - ONE TIME - IN PRINT ONLY It is understood that this contract only grants rights for one-time use of the Work in print form in the newspaper. This agreement does not grant the right to publish the Work in any form other than print. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, your newspaper is not being granted the right to publish the Work in any electronic form, computer database, microforms edition, CD ROM, on the Internet, or use the Work in any marketing materials other than in the newspaper itself, without written consent of WAN.
9 . TEAR SHEETS & FEEDBACK Your newspaper shall cooperate with WAN in providing tear sheets (in PDF or print format) to WAN and information relating to the number of readers having access to the Work. Printed versions should go to WAN at 7 rue Geoffroy St. Hilaire, 75005 Paris, France. PDFs should go to amcmane@wan.asso.fr
