| | Gazeta Wyborcza wins top World Young Reader Prize The Polish daily Gazeta Wyborcza received the annual World Young Reader Newspaper of the Year award at ceremonies in Amsterdam during the World Association of Newspapers annual Readership Conference. WAN also presented trophies in five categories of achievement: Editorial Strategy, Brand Extension, Newspapers in Education, Public Service and a special category for 2008, "Literacy and Newspapers."
